    Leskrimsmom

I saw this photograph by Les Krims called ‘Mom’s Snaps (Pasted), 1970’ for the first time about 23 years ago and it’s been lurking ever since. Krims was commissioned to do a portrait for TIME back in the 1970s, the one word in the brief was ‘Love’. His mother often wore few clothes due to the excessive heat in her appartment and she agreed to pose covered in photos she had taken of her son Les. It’s a beautiful and touching image and I love the way her body acts as a tree to support her floating memories.
