A triptych of portraits of famous leaders Haile Selassie, Margaret Thatcher and Osama Bin Laden respectively. In considering the monolithic nature of busts and following on from the Prester Joao myth, I chose three real personalities who represented certain power during our times. These busts, however are missing part of their most vital feature – their heads which I cropped off at the top. The rest is virtually obscured by a webbed layer of handcut velvet.
