Fourth in a series made for the Terrace Annual show curated every year by Karl Bielik in London. The work is installed each year for the show, then left to elements in the outdoor gallery. – SEE ALSO Ron & Son, Shellfish & Fish 2011, 2012 and 2013. Karl photographs my previous year’s piece in situ at Terrace and emails me the shot. I redraw/paint a new version from the new photo and apply a layer of marble sand. The original image, a photo I took of a now razed pub in Hackney in 2002 is slowly fading into a crystal haze.
